Log work as another user for Jira
This plugin for Jira Software allows you to decide what users are able to log work on behalf of other users. The typical scenario is for a project manager responsible for keeping Jira updated, to log work for the team members, so they can be focused on building the product, or to complete missing logs.
This is a functionality not found in Jira out of the box, and this plugins is the best and cheapest option available.
How it works
Once installed, a new option will be shown for you, called “Log work as user”:
Which will open a dialog, feature a new field at the top to allow you select the user that you will be impersonating when logging the work:
How to select what users can use this option
